Saturday June 1th and Sunday July the 2nd
we invite you all to celebrate a wild weekend!
A walk in the countryside with Dr. Uri Mayer-Chissick (nutritionist expert in the history of food and medicine in the Mediterranean) in search of wild edible plant varieties in our area. we will pick flowers and plants which we have nurtured for centuries, and still thrive in abandoned fields and in the edge of the woods, but now have been replaced by a few varieties grown and marketed worldwide.
An introductory lecture and discussion on the history of food and nutrition in our past to find a guide line for the present.
A cooking class to transform the result of the collection (and not only) in delicious fine gourmet, relearning to use the best ingredients for healthier and tastier results.
A very special lunch together to rediscover forgotten flavors and good food, tasty and healthy.
